Awareness

"the triple and touch"
Music entertainment on the streets of Belgrade! I found it very fascinating. Dissimilar from other cities in Europe, the Belgrade offers entirely different clientele of musicians. Most of them are in the age between eight and fifteen and I have to say it, very talented. Some of them are attending a music schools (educated) and some of them, not even knowing the music notes, plays it by the ear. What surprised me wasn’t their competence as musicians, it was rather their consciousness of how to use the talents they possessed. In tough times like this (after the war), they found the way to survive. Some youngsters have chosen unpredictable future by breaking the law just to get some quick dough, too bad it’s a short term solution. But not these kids, they preferred to stay within the law and by playing music on the streets they are hoping that one day a moment of joy will come to their lives. Watching them play I realized how fortune our children are. Very touchy.

I took the picture (above) last summer and if you pay attention to it you’ll notice how well organized the kids were. The little girl checks out surrounding, probably thinking; "ok guys we are safe", and than look at those two guys, watchung carefully the fall of coins dropped by the boy in red shirt. Future IRS employees? Or it’s just nice to know how much is it in the pot?

Beautiful music and a very touching picture indeed. May Fate be kind to these children, and give them some of the options which we so take for granted.

Expressing emotions is a natural act in ones character. It gives your heart and your mind such a pleasant relief. Holding it inwardly makes your heart shiver.
