The iron hand

I believe most of us, more or less, have followed the elections in Russia where Putin’s party won. Most of west oriented countries openly criticized Putin for undemocratic procedures he’s been taken before and during the elections. Even cheating with votes was also one of accusations.
Now, common isn’t it all the same all over the world? Remember Florida with Bush?

Term democratic election exists only as illusion. It’s pure politician’s amusement park. No matter of country’s nature, it is either the tough front or money that promotes the people’s opinion. Therefore people are tired of politicians and more and more of them decides to stay at home during elections. That goes for both “West” and “East”.

For some countries “Democracy” could be highly dangerous enemy. I mean, if we take a closer look of what happened to USSR, ex east block countries and ex Yugoslavia what do we see? We see the total catastrophe. The forced or given democracy, put it anyway you like, made people suffering in several different ways. Law & order: / isn’t strict enough, economy: / worse than ever, retirement payments: / if you lucky you’ll get it, drug problems: / no control, firearms: / no control, corruption: / new trend among influential people and finally the most noticeable is crime and growth of mafia’s activity.

So, in order to put back the things the way they should be, in countries like those you have to have the “Iron hand”.

Is the "Iron Hand" suppose squeeze and wring the people into some ... what? How do You mean that the "Iron Hand" will work through the system?

The “Iron Hand” doesn’t necessary mean “squeeze and wring” as you put it but yes more determined control of country’s inhabitants and of course the government officials.
In some cultures the phenomenon in term “pure democracy” just can’t be seen as suitable, for the moment. It’s like letting a wild animal out from the cage, it gets lost. For so many years people were used to obey and lived like that with some dreams about democracy. Suddenly they’ve got “democratic freedom” which led to a lot of misinterpretations such as; “wow, now we can do what ever we please”. They never recognized democracy as it is, they’ve seen it through western countries life style, welfare and they became determined to get rich, any possible way without hesitations.

IF I get Your concrete point here, You are discussing that the interpretation of democracy are often confused with that each person are free to do ... (anarchy) and that they need a "Leading Hand" when moving into a democratic society?

IF this is what You mean I think You are right, it is like letting out calves on green pasture land, or a male that's been in prison for 20 years into a harem. :-D

Expressing emotions is a natural act in ones character. It gives your heart and your mind such a pleasant relief. Holding it inwardly makes your heart shiver.
